Hi! I'm Keith Hillman

I live alone in a small seaside town on the south east coast of England near Eastbourne. I am situated 60 miles south of London, and 50 miles north of the French coast.

I am blessed with three wonderful grown up children and have three beautiful grandchildren.

Apart from writing which consumes most of my free time, I love photography and have a passion for foreign parts, particularly India which gives me a buzz unequalled by anywhere else.

My other main interest is in sacred choral music which I find to be uplifting yet relaxing.


Until two years ago I had my own pub, and I have also owned a restaurant amongst various other businesses, and I spent 26 years on and off in car sales. I am particularly interested in the art of selling and have written extensively on this subject.

I love to read, although I never read a book until I was in my 40’s! I am also an avid TV viewer and have a set right alongside my computer!

The English language is a thing of beauty yet so often abused and misused. I view its slow but certain deterioration with considerable regret.

I have several web sites. The one I am least comfortable with is my poetry blog. I don’t ‘get’ poetry. I find it too wordy, and often overcomplicated. Free verse to me is often no more than prose with gaps. But I try my best.

I have recently discovered that I’m able to write stories for children. Perhaps I am slowly regressing to my childhood as often happens later in life.

Blogging has opened up a whole new life to me. I no longer consider my regular readers to be virtual friends, more part of an extended family.
